Caldwell, Texas

John and the boys went to Caldwell this weekend to his family's cabin. It was Charlie's first time fishing and they caught lots of fish. This is one of John's!
Jake LOVED fishing in his jammies!! He caught four fish right off the bat!
Charlie caught his share as well. He had so much fun and couldn't stop talking about it when they got home!
If you look really close you can see the fish on the end of the line.
They were on Lake Woodrow. They boys can't wait to go back!

Jake's First Day of Kindergarten

Jake and Charles getting ready for Jake's first day of school
He's so handsome!! He was very excited about meeting his new friends!!
He loves that his uniform has pockets!!
I was much worse off than he was. A nervous wreck!
Jake got new shoes the day before he started school. He was so excited and made me take tons of pictures of his new "kicks" until I got just the right picture!! He's so funny!!

The Greatest Show on Earth!!

We went to the circus tonight and fun was had by all. Jake loved the cotton candy and snow cones. He got a sword, which to him, was the best part of the whole show.
Charlie was in awe of the whole thing. He loved all the clapping and cheering. He didn't like cotton candy but truely enjoyed the popcorn.
He just sat and took everything in like always. He concentrated so hard on everything that was going on.
Like I said, the sword was the best part to Jake.

Uncle Jr's Birthday Dinner

We went to dinner with Uncle Jr. for his birthday. He was only here for a few days but we got to see him both days. We ate at Saltgrass and the boys had a blast seeing their great uncle again.
My dad, Charlie, Jake, and Uncle Jr sitting in front of Saltgrass. We had a great dinner. If you ever loose Charlie, look around find Grandpa, look down and there's Charlie.
Mom and the boys posed just perfect. Of course, Charlie is saying "Cheese"
Charles loves Grandpa!!
When we got home the boys wanted to play with the skateboard since the heat of the day was finally gone we stayed outside and enjoyed the fresh air.
You can't tell in the picture but Charlie is going backwards at full speed. Jake is running to stop hom before he hits the curb.
Charlie likes to ride with Jake and Jake does NOT like riding with Charlie.
Jake did figure out how to sucker Charlie into pushing him up the driveway. Charlie worked and worked!!

Summer Dessert

Charlie had watermelon for dessert. He had blue Gadorade with his dinner and I think it made a great "after" picture.
Jake likes to show Charlie how to eat it "properly"

John likes it too...

Memorial Day Weekend

We spent Memorial Day at a freinds lake house at Lake Weatherford. It was a truely wonderful day!!
They discovered how cool minnows are. Also, they realized that they don't live on land, only in water!!
Jake did not like it. It was WAY too fast.
